Hi: I love that you didn't polish up the blade! I'm an 18th. and 19th. century knife and black powder accoutrements maker, and my process (to stay original) is to NOT polish knife blades, but rather leave the forge color on them. I use a dremel / rotary tool to sharpen my gut hooks, it works great, you can even put a mirror polish on them

At 1:08 you're throwing sparks at the camera. Do you put up glass or anything or do you not worry about it hitting the camera?

I use an angle grinder. I have a video coming out soon that demonstrates that better.
