I was recently searching how to repair leather because I stupidly left a box of my Dad's memorabilia out and my Dog snuffed through and ripped up my Dad's 50 year old wallet. I was heartbroken. After looking at videos I found little king goods, the whole vibe is so....unique. I made a job of repairing my Dad's wallet but now I want to make my own. It's funny how things happen for a reason. Just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration.

Hand made?? But you use machines? 😆 great work , its funny to me how people can talk down on a maker for using modern tools !!! Its cool/fun to create leather goods with hand tools, reminiscent of the "good old days". The problem is that its hard to make a living competing against mass produced, cheap, junk. Most consumers don't see the difference outside of price. Anything that can quicken the process and not affect the quality makes the end product more affordable. If he hand cut all those pieces, and saddle stitched them all, the wallet would be 3 times more at a minimum. Hard to sell a wallet for $300 when a similar style can be bought off the shelf for $50 or less. The wallets he makes will last a lifetime with a little bit of ❤.
@dmail005 жыл бұрын
@@markcowan3366 I would not disagree with anything you have said, it needs a purchaser to appreciate handmade goods. However, using machines and then stating it is handmade regardless if this is to demand a higher price or respect for a handmade product is in my eyes dishonest at best. "Handmade is better" is the company tag line!
