I can't think of much I hate more then dealing with fiberglass in pretty much any way shape or form. Good luck and try to have fun with all that!

So true 😂 at first I thought epoxy and fiberglass are amazing because of the possibilities of what you can make with it, but after a big epoxy project I hated it 😁 if the grinding dust, the epoxy and the hardener weren't so extremely toxic I probably wouldn't hate it nearly as much

to anyone else working with this stuff: at the very least use thick nitrile gloves, goggles and most importantly always use a respirator

After all the scarfs and pulling the hull together for glueing, your going to lose a total of 2' from your original planned length, am I thinking correctly? A foot on the front and one on the back seem.

what you are describing would be a true scarf joint, but I don't think that is the plan. From a couple of the diagrams he showed in the video the plan is to join the the two scarf ends of the hulls with new layers of fibreglass. So the length will stay roughly what it is now.

Yep @maxmillion7007 is right. I could have done a better job explaining that. The 3 hull pieces will stay the same length since we are scarfing the top and bottom sides and just fiberglassing over them in the same spot they are sitting right now.

Gotcha, yes, it makes sense now. You probably explained it well, I was trying to watch the game at the same time I was watching your video. P.S. that router / plane is money. Great idea!!!
