That looks so pretty. Love the pattern in the resin and the colour. You probably already know this, you can boil the pine cones in water and they close up. It could give you a different pattern in your amazing creations.

That is very cool Rod. It makes this record breaking heat wave we are having feel a few degrees less than what it really is. I love the look of those pinecones . They almost look like they are floating around in a little pool on a small creek. Great work and Semper Fi! Gary

Hi Rod, It may not be the Turquoise you were looking for but I do know one thing and that is it looks absolutely amazing. You are right that using Pinecones leads to an amazing result that is different every time. Using them is on my bucket list of things to do. Sharp hatchet you have there sir. Whenever I consider making something out of resin, I ask a friend to shoot silly string at me while turning wood and the feeling goes away. Excellent work, Rod! Beautiful!

I may biased, growing up in the north woods, but I think this is one of the prettiest pieces you’ve made. You’ll have to make lampshades, in all kinds of shapes and jeweled colors! How would mica flakes work in resin?
