As a convicted criminal, he should not have been granted anonymity as it became a matter of public interest and protection. It's stupid that tribunals allow them to stay. Especially since the ECHR's own rules allows us to ignore excuses of safety if the convicted person is deemed a danger to others.

A caller named Paul on Talk Mike Graham said that he'd emailed his MP. Yesterday the cops called at his house to warn him that he NEARLY crossed the line of counter-terrorism law...is this not a breach of Data Protection law by the MP as he/she passed on the name and address of Paul?
@legion16214 күн бұрын
As far as I can make out, if the MP thought the guy had either broken the law, or was about to break the law, under DPA 170 section 2a was necessary for the purposes of preventing or detecting crime, would probably be adequate defence

Depending on the contents of the email (threats/criminal intentions) it wouldn't be covered by GDPR, and there's the question of if an MP has to follow GDPR, as far as I'm aware businesses and organisations have to follow them but does it apply in this case?

Perhaps the alternative is life imprisonment: His actions against the woman show a disregard to our laws, our culture, her rights, and common decency. He's here illegally, so he has no right to remain. Life in prison therefor seems reasonable? Although, if his anonymity is required due to the risk of the respons from people here, surely that's no difference to what he faces back in Jamaica? So wouldn't that invalidate that argument?

Most, probably all of these criminals knew before they offended what would happen and what might happen if 'returned to sender' became likely. Some even commit crimes to avoid any possibility of deportation then invite their overseas families to join them here in the UK. A simple conviction for theft is enough to work this trick. I first saw this happen in Plymouth, Devon, 15 years ago... The perp was a newly married Muslim woman who stole even though her British husband ensured she was very well provided for.

One of them sold drugs to the tourists, one off them dated american woman and the last was for the American guys. Kind of like a full holiday service. This wasn't like a one off it was a service. So this is nonsense in my eyes.
