Hey bro. I’m a beginner at woodworking. I do it as a hobby. I like your video for two reasons, you keep things simple and straight forward, and you have a likable personality. Thanks

it's hideous. the hickory now has shockingly blue, plastic-y splotches all over it. ugh.

Man, I made my first box out of Baltic Birch plywood after watching your video. Definitely not as nice as yours but it provided me confident to improve on my next attempt. I also used a miter saw; however on my next attempt I use my table saw. I believe my miters will be better on the table saw. Many thanks, I'm now subscribed.

Not bad for a basic box. Next time try dovetailing the corners, add a lip on the lid and mortise the hinges as they should be. Maybe put some inlay on the lid and mortise in a decorative lock.

Loved the video. So many great looking boxes out there and ideas but so few talk the dimension of the box. I can make stuff but design and proportion can be a different story. Of course this was square but still numbers help. Thanks

Nice project & video, but: Dust mask? Hearing protection? I ignored dust myself for many decades, until I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis in my 50s, and asthma at 70. Effective dut masks are cheaper than medical costs. That cut at 5:00 will be perfectly safe on a radial arm saw ... ;-)
