This is by far the best video I've seen showing the process. I've watched parts 1 and 2 twice. I need a lean-to and have been getting ridiculous quotes but might actually try it myself after watching these

I’m building a lean to shed. Bolts for fixing the 3x3 to the concrete posts were a big help. Never seen them before.

Great video - congratulations on a fine video and great roof. Picked up some handy tips for rafter angle measuring - have a 7m x 3m metre lean to to build shortly. Part 2 watching next ;-)

Very professional and explained perfectly. I will be doing something similar very soon and hope it turns out as well as yours. The only part I will not be doing is applying the lead flashing. Any suggestions what I can do as an alternative. Thanks.

Thank you for the brilliant video. However, I have some concerns about using the neighbour's fence, am I allowed to use their fence as part of the walk-way/shed please? Thank you very much for your time.

I'm thinking of building something similar at the side of my house. The problem I have is that I will be using clear plastic sheeting as the roof. However there's a black pipe coming down the side of the house. When i put the plastic sheeting around the pipe. What's the best way to make it water tight?

Am I the only one wondering what the neighbours will do when the rain or snow lands directly on their heads as they leave the house?

That's what I thought at first too, I hate my neighbor, but not putting a gutter on it seems a bit much 😆

Question about drilling into the concrete posts. Have you had any adverse effects i.e. cracking or fixings loosening from the wind and elements over time? I'm thinking of doing the same thing instead of sinking more posts into the ground right against my fence. Great vid btw👍

I know this is an old video but it popped up when I was watching something else. Check your local Council. This could need planning permission and if it’s a party wall, you will need your neighbours permission. Just because it’s your house and your fence it doesn’t mean you can do what you want.

Permitted development rights allow a max height of 2.5m within 2m of a boundary.. so long as the structure doesn't project forward of the principal elevation of the property.. Check out the gov planning portal.... It's worth checking with your local planning authority because some authorities have exclusions which prohibits this kind of development..
