I have been doing leather for about 10 years - and I have to say - your plans and processes are solid. Could someone with more experience make a cleaner product - sure. But you made this yourself and it not only functions but very cool. I think you did an amazing job on this.

So nick ,if you split your sinew you'll get a neater looking stitch line and it will set more flush with your leather and wont wear .just a little advice from a leather craftsman and bowyer to another ,the same information was shared with me and was told to share what I learn ,paying it forward friend

Cheers, mate! I ordered one of these, same style, from Mandarin Duck. But I have skinny forearms and need to shorten the length of bungee cord they used. Your video gave me the know-how and confidence to do that. Thank you :)

I love your videos and this arm guard is a great design. Just one tip with cutting leather, it is easier and your blade stays sharp longer if you cut on glass.

Hans Erken I did not know that, thanks for the tip!

You should try melting the ends of the elastic. I know that is what you do with paracord, but I am not sure how it would go with elastic, but I think it would have roughly the same result....

what tool did you use to cut the lines for your stitching?
@draven38384 жыл бұрын
Nice style simple is best10 -12 oz would be to thick ,a 7-8oz would be optimal weight ,most of us archers use 5-6oz and it works well

What type of glue do you use?
@BackyardBowyer10 жыл бұрын
I used Barge contact cement. Almost any contact cement would work. I used a rotary scoring tool to mark the stitching holes. You can also use the tines on a fork to get equal spacing.
