Making a Leather Duffle Bag - Handmade Travel Bag

This is my third attempt at making this style of duffle bag. I am still figuring out how to improve the overall design and structure; therefore, I do not currently have any patterns or templates available. Once I get everything dialed in, I will try to have a pattern available and then do an in depth tutorial over it!
The overall dimensions are roughly 22”x14”x9” in order to keep it acceptable as a carry on bag. This particular leather is a “Cumberland Side” from Tandy Leather. It is a full grain, chrome tan leather and is 4/5 oz thickness. This bag consumed almost all of the usable parts on this side, which was roughly 20 sq ft.
The sewing machine I am using is a Cobra Class 26 by Leather Machine Co. and the thread size is 138.

Im new to leather as a hobbyist. Ive made a tote and a clutch from veg tan. I havent worked with chrome tan yet. Do u have a preference for chrometan? Thanks and beautiful work!

I mainly make tooled projects, so I honestly don’t work with chrome tan much. But I don’t mind using it for certain projects, depending on what the customer wants!

It was a chrome tan leather from Tandy that they call a “Cumberland Side” in the Canyon color

Definitely like the weight and body of the leather of this one over the black one. The details are very nice. Only suggestion I would make is to round the corners of all the straps if only a little bit.

the whole process is good, if in the last step ,you put some papers in the bas to stuff it, that would look much bettek
