Making a Leather Shop Apron

When I think of an apron, I generally think of something to do with baking. However, I have found that a shop apron can help keep my clothes from getting ruined when wearing one around the shop. The added pocket space is a very welcome addition too!

This is exactly what I need. Last week my LVAD, electric heart, drive line snagged and c ost me a trip to the hospital. I had to agree to make an apron.

You’ll figure it out. Good luck and waiting for the template to show up. Not that you may get larger! Blame it on the leather straps shrinking due to drying out 😂

It's an oil tan. Depending the tempur anywhere from 5 to 7 oz would work.

It is by Mascon Leather and Zee Bee tools. It's a handy anvil to have around.

I have been wanting to make an apron for a while. How can you tell if your oil tan will bleed through onto you clothes?

Rub on it... or lay it on something that could absorb oil for a day or two to see if it leeches over
