That’s about my setup I have a 450 under side seating 1000s in the rear but usually fill surfside almost full and non surfside somewhere around half and have a new 450 sack I’m going to try as far forward in the walkway I can get it.. I don’t have a triangle sack just have some lead I move around.. I need a triangle sack for sure. Your the man iv been watching you for years back when I had my 04 vlx

How about increasing the speed a little? Did you try that, and if so, did it help to increase the length of the wave?

oh, ya, going faster always makes it longer. its all about keeping the nose down.

Hey BTuff I have the same model boat (2005 VLX) but the downfall I have vs your setup is the manual wedge vs the power wedge and no factory front. I got my boat to be surfable but only in a small pocket and played around with my ballast distribution. Wave looks really nice, but my surfable area is very small and I cannot fall back very far. Do you have any suggestions how to get the most push with it with the fixed wedge? Would you say listing hard is the best way? No wedge? The regular side is the problem which I surf. The goofy you get plenty of push. Setup: 2005 VLX Monsoon 340 Rider (me) 185lbs Factory Ballast (2 rear, 1 center) Liquid Force Wakesurf Edge 2x Sumo 850 Locker bags 1x Sumo 675 Bow Triangle Ronix Volcom Conductor 5.0’ Hyperlight Broadcast I have a few videos I can post if that would help. (Don’t hate on my surfing skills😅)

Run the bag half full on non surf side. Then put a 300-lb bag next to driver in the middle. Or put another suck gate about 3 foot in front of the other. Look at BTUFF surf hack.

With all the upgrades you have done, why have you not installed surf tabs (GSA, evolutions). Have a boat similar to yours, hopefully get it dialed in like yours someday.
@btuff2 жыл бұрын
I prefer the skew of gates to tabs. The tabs tend to need a gob of weight. They also make the wave shorter. Check out the video I did with moomba and wake shaper.

Did you have any problems with it coming off? I have seen that they are making one with 5 little suction cups on it, have you tried that one?

I've never had an issue

Me and my kids ride skim this is how I like my wave long and smooth, a lot of the new boats iv been behind make a good surf wave but too much “ramp” or “lip” for my liking
@btuff2 жыл бұрын
I agree. Hard curbs and steep drops. I like a smooth face.

Thanks for the surf content! looking good man. Did the new motor handle the 2 suck gates better than last years engine?

By a long shot. The 383 has been awesome so far.

You ever think about trying surf tabs like gsa or evolution tabs ?
@btuff2 жыл бұрын
I’m more of a fan of gates than tabs. I’ve been on tab boats. They need a lot of weight and the waves don’t feel as good as gate boats. See my suckgate on a moomba video.
