I cannot thank you enough for your detailed and well-edited videos. When narrated, words are spare and descriptive. Wonderful teaching. So appreciated.

I love that your videos do not have annoying music playing! It is so peaceful even blissful to watch your videos with just the sounds of what is going on. Just got a couple of pottery wheels and fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a pottery wheel. Just getting started and hoping to learn quickly. I aspire to be at your level some day since you are inspiring and I love what you create!! Thank you for sharing your skill and talent with us 💜💜💜💜💜💜

You’re stuff comes out looking so modern almost futuristic compared to ‘normal’ pottery. Not just the slip work the shapes also. I would love to see you discuss your aesthetic and how you’ve gotten to this point? Or maybe you’ve always produced pots that look like this honestly amazing

Absolutely my favorite techniques although they are all great. Would it be possible for you to do a tutorial about how you make and color the slips. I noticed you doing something I thought was different, adding powder to the darker slip. Wasn't sure what that was. Thank you so much. I am learning so much from how exact you go about your tasks.

There's a guide on my blog that explains the full process, but in this video I'm colouring the light clay slip as they would be far darker and less saturated colours with the dark clay

Beautiful as always. What is the dark clay you are using? Ive had problems clays firing brown instead of black.
@OldForgeCreations3 жыл бұрын
It's a German clay called Anthracite, it's a dark brown but behaves really well unlike most other dark clays I've tried

Hi! I watch your videos religiously, can you please make one of the trimming process to learn from?

Is that just a clear glaze on the outside then I assume? Do you mix your own or buy premade?
@OldForgeCreations3 жыл бұрын
It's a clear glaze I mix myself, the recipe is the FirstFive Glossy Clear from this series of glazes: www.oldforgecreations.co.uk/blog/first-five-ingredients-where-to-start-with-glaze-making

Would you please share the company name of your wheel system? The grid used for designating the laser height and the changeable bats look quite efficient.

I’d like to play around with coloured slips. Are you just using mason stains in your slip? With a clear glaze afterward?

Hi sir I like the designs of your art work I love it.. I lwant to know if you sell your art work? I want to place bulk orders. Thank and keep the fire burning
@NickUncommon3 жыл бұрын
The one where yellow and the reddish orange are dominant on the dark clay is breathtaking. I need to save up, though to be able to order one. Is this style a limited time offer, or do you have it in store for a while?
@OldForgeCreations3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The idea initially was to have the design available for a few months and then move onto something else, but at the moment I'm thinking of keeping it around for a lot longer than that.

You seem to have found a lot of techniques and equipment that help streamline your process. I wish we had had an extruder like that in my college ceramics class instead of pulling handles by hand!
@OldForgeCreations3 жыл бұрын
I don't think I would make as many mugs if I had to pull the handles, it's tied with reclaiming clay as my least favourite process
