I saw your video of cleaning of your skutt wheel, do you ever feel you would want the splash pan to be removable too? I want to get my wife a skutt wheel and wasnt sure by haveing the detachable pan would be a bit more unstable vs the built in pan. Also what speed do you recommend I was aiming to get her 1/2 hp vs the 1 hp not sure what the difference is for?

I took ceramics many years ago, but what was used to attach the handles? We always had to wet it down and press them on, which misshaped it.

This is great, watched a dozen videos on pugmills and none of them had this level of information, especially about the cleaning - that is really important stuff. Didn't realize you have to clean it so often and when you switch clays.

Hi. I am just starting to throw again after many many years. I watched one of your videos in the beginning, now when I have a question or need inspiration, I come back to you every time. Thank you! I love your art and someday I wish to be at least half as good as you!

Man. Other people leave no opportunity out, to show their faces - even where you do not expect them - ...and this guy's face does not show up, and I'm in till 28:50 and f*** hypnotized. How.

Has anyone tried liquifying cheap silicone (in cartouches) with mineral spirits and pouring it into the mould? Since silicone needs water to cure it might be advisable to mix corn starch into it. Just an experiment for this purpose. I used to form grips for tools out of silicone with this method.

I studied ceramics and glass in university, and I just have to say, to be at the point technically where you don't have to use the spill method for glaze, but you just know exactly how much glaze the inside of your piece needs- wow. Such skills 🙇♂️

Thank you for the information. I am in Nigeria but almost all the ingredients are not accessible. I wish to improve my craft from just terracotta and oxide to glazes some day. Or if there another name or substitute for the recipes
