Thank you so much! And welcome! Herman is classy guy. His 'hair' has gotten really long - it now touches the table!

Thanks - I don't know if getting tools is my excuse to do more projects or if doing projects is my excuse for more tools! 😅

What did you use to smooth the inside with? Thanks

Hello! Unbelievably and sort of embarrassingly, I used a serrated kitchen knife - it was one of our steak knives! The finely jagged edges of the knife run over and over the styrofoam smooths it out pretty nicely. And then I just went over everything with 80 grit sand paper. But really, it was the knife. I didn't push too hard, but hard enough to scrap the styrofoam.

Thank you! I still don't know what kind of plant I have as the hair, but it's getting pretty long now!

Buy the time you got all the stuff to make it with and the time involved it would have been cheaper to buy one, and as for it being top heavy why not just fill the bottom with drainage stones.

Adding stones is a good option! I couldn't find a planter I liked, and it was good fun making Herman lol But yes, at times it can be cheaper to buy decor instead of DIY 😆
