Yeah, I've never seen this type of art being drawn (or typed?) on a typewriter before. Usually, it's done digitally, and yes, AI CAN also combine stuff (numbers, letters, whatever) to create art, as this guy can, but obviously, AI ain't human.

Back in college I helped out a friend with ASCII art as their assignment was to make a running man animation using assembly language and just ASCII characters, ,he gave me an ASCII chart with all the numbers to hold after the alt key was pressed, our partnership put out the best assignment of the entire class

i own a single typewriter made in the gdr and it's a rust bucket but i love it. i use it mainly because my handwriting is fucking awful but i also find it easier to air-out a first draft of an essay or script on it than within a computer. less distractions and i like the physical feeling of it. afterwards i scan what i write into my computer through an ocr and then import that into google docs and do some edits and changes before i send it off to my editor. it's a fun process that i really enjoy it. i'm glad someone can have that same kind of passion i have but in a differant medium. refreshing, really. :)
