For those asking, he used and uses almost the same materials in his videos: -Aquarium with 5mm glass thickness, -PP board or Polypropylene Board or u can use Board foam 1-2mm thick, -Seiryu stones, -Silicone sealant (same glue used to seal aquarium glass which he also used to glue the board together), -Keto soil or peat muck (the black soil is a sticky mixture of clay and peat and then u spray it with water). On top of it u put garden or aquasoil. Keto soil holds soil in place and helps attach trees or plants to rocks. It doesn’t wash away easily when watered, roots and moss grow in it.) -river soil -and plants (i have no idea the name of the plant he used though hopefully someone can share too) -mini aquarium oxygen pump -mist maker Hope this helps ♥️

He wrote the name of the plant in other video kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipywmaOpq7Rmo6c The name of it is "fraxinus griffithii". Thank you for your explanation of the material. It really helps. I have been planning to make this aquascape myself for my friend.
@rudiaguswidono54504 жыл бұрын
Oh and he add: - Lava rock - Wool mat - Akadama soil (the brown pebbles thing looked like small peanut he poured surrounding the plant roots). - coconut fiber? to hide the wall of foam boards from the top? - Btw i think he used 5/16" board. That's about 5mm thick. About keto soil or peat muck you said. Do you mean the soil (or sand?) he poured to hide the sealant between the rocks and sprayed with water? Because it seems like he doesn't mix it with anything. It seems like one type of soil material.

Terrarium he made is about the waterfall, so he only focus on the waterfall its to much distraction from the main theme if he put plants underwater
@Dueilangoisseus5 жыл бұрын
@@reieben886 That makes zero sense. If that was the case, he shouldn't have put any plants above water either.
@acow13855 жыл бұрын
Chashmodai The plants above are to complement the waterfall, whilst the bare waterbed contrasts the life above and further accentuates it.
@Dueilangoisseus5 жыл бұрын
@@acow1385 Interesting opinion. Should I leave my house half-painted in order to accentuate the painted part of it? I guess it's purely down to opinion, but I like to see my projects through and not leave them half-finished and claim I'm simply "accentuating" the finished half.
@acow13855 жыл бұрын
Chashmodai I had a little sarcasm in my previous comment, the point is that you can interpret anything you want from anything. There are always valid arguments for either or, and at the end of the day it all comes down to personal opinion.

The mist maker is really beautiful. But, it is water, so all that mist is going over onto the table and is going to turn to water droplets and ruin your table. its the sand castle effect the water helps the rocks and sand bind tighter together on their own while the silicone drys also the silicone is unaffected by the water since its a waterproof adhesive/sealant
