NIce one! I sometimes think I'm an idiot to go through all the effort to get a slingshot out of an overly large fork, but the results are usually worth it and something I can be proud of. Keep it up.

Its definitely hard work, but always comes out so nice!

Lot more work than a laminated frame, and the deeper you get into the grain of a big fork, the prettier it is.

What's your aiming point since the fork tips aren't perfectly parallel (the stretched bands won't make a thin straight line)?

I'm loving this guy so far, but I need to refinish it already... Left it out in the sun too long ☹️

Great video? Do you have a normal speed version? I imagine it is like 4 hours long, haha. I really need to figure it a good way to cut notches into my natural fork tips. I was hoping you would do it in this video. I understand to use a round file, but i have trouble getting it straight and i get real perfectionistic. I also have a few pickle fork pieces drying right now, perfect shape, beautiful spalting, etc. I don't want to mess them up. Any tips?

How long does the fork need to dry before building a slingshot?
@TheSmoShow12 жыл бұрын
few weeks, up to a few months. depends on wood type, thickness, moisture level, and how it was dried.
