If someone has problems to keep there drill stable with the button and joystick holes. Lookup forstner bit, they have them in all sizes. So I have 24, 28 and 30mm for the buttons and the joystick holes. Maybe they help you as well.
@therexershow
@therexershow 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I’ll definitely check it out. I also have a hole saw bit that has the drill bit in the middle. Usually works well. I’ll pretap a nail hole to start the drill bill with the hole saw . Thanks for watching.

@@therexershow Those should work as well, the problem I have with the Speedbits, is because they are flat, I tend to wobble. So my 24mm becomes 25. This is mainly a problem if you want your joystick buttons close together. Forstner are easier too handle for me. And since they sell them in exact sizes, you only need 2 or 3.

What did you use for drilling out the button holes?
@therexershow
@therexershow Жыл бұрын
Sometimes I use a spade bit or a hole saw. I do NOT use a step bit as it doesn’t work right on thicker control panels . I believe it was a 1-1/8 bit. But I can’t remember. Always use a test piece of wood and drill test holes first.
