Another fantastic build Jason! I think I need to donate a scale ruler to your cause, LOL! Watching you do everything with full size measurements is mildly irritating, but I suppose it works all the same!. Thanks once again for sharing your fine techniques with us.

Carolinacraftsmankits should put a cheap, starter kit on the site, something that if we warp and destroy not going to hurt the bank, yet if we do it right, gets us hooked on doing wood kits. just my thoughts, Say 9.99$

Hey Jason, Have been going through all your previous videos and I felt compelled to make the following observations that to me just make your work here top shelf: -Your productivity on kit building and your ability to maintain such a high level of quality. -Your obvious enthusiasm that is infectious for the viewer. -Not only are you building kits but you're also incorporating them into a fabulous layout...seamless. -Your communication skills in speaking and illustrating what you are doing is deft and so easy to listen to and watch. I'll start your videos and not even watch while I'm at my bench working and just be listening to you! -Love your use of multiple manufacturers with your structures and then coupling that with scratch techniques...perfect! -Love your consistent appearance with the black "T" and the coffee mug! don't change a thing...Ken

Outstanding modelling as always! You're spot on about putting off projects you think are going to be tricky - I do exactly the same and they're never as bad as you think. :) The trouble is that the opposite is also often true - modelling projects I think will be quick and easy often turn out to be tricky and frustrating!! What’s the prototypical purpose of factories and companies painting the insides of their windows like that? I’ve always wondered. Did you just use straight acrylic for that?
@JasonJensenTrains
@JasonJensenTrains 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I just used acrylic paint on the back side of the window. I'm guessing if the window cracked or broke they would just patch it from the inside, not really sure. I feel it gives it more of a industrial look to the structure.
@illusionclassicrock6742
@illusionclassicrock6742 3 жыл бұрын
@@JasonJensenTrains Yeah, I see it on industrial buildings all the time, but never really understood what it was for. Thought maybe they were trying to defuse the light coming in or something. It looks great!

Great work as always Jason. I have a question... why do mainly only build multiple story structures? I've noticed nearly all of your buildings on your layout are multiple story. I think you should build some single story structures just to mix it up. Not even adding the small room on the roof.
@JasonJensenTrains

I enjoyed your video Jason and am saving my monthly modeling "allowance" to purchase the 3 kit package. Nicely done on the model. Do you have any advice when it comes to cutting the opening in a slanted roof for the chimney as I really struggle getting them straight in appearance? Please forgive the "neophyte" question but it's impeding my modeling.
@JasonJensenTrains
@JasonJensenTrains 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Rick, I really appreciate it!!! Those chimneys can be tricky. Sometimes I cut the opening to large . I then mix Elmer's glue and black paint to make tar and I fill in around the base using a thin brush. Hope that helps! Happy modeling!!!

You made a major leap at 13:32 from walls being painted to fully assembled. Was there anything you ran across in assembling? Also, the roofing phase - how and what?
@JasonJensenTrains

Very simple to construct the walls and then just glue the roof cards on. After everything dries you can start glueing on all the shingles. Make sure you paint the under side of the over hang of the roof. Hope that helps!
