I am so pleased you like it!! I really can't wait for the other crops to finish up and get in there with the other bits of redesigning! Think there is a bit more life in that pattypan yet I saw about 10 that will be ready soon for harvesting 😅😆 the music is such autumnal vibes 🍂🧡 xx

Great video Laura, you can't beat a good revamp of the veggy garden i did with mine, i forked out loads of dosh on some 4x2s and 6x2s and made two 6x2 raised beds which were 22 inches high to save bending over. Now i have taken both of them apart and i'm thinking of changing the direction of the beds and lowering them, i have method in my madness 🤯😂 Take Care and Stay Safe, Barry (the Wirral, UK) 👍

Love the plans to change age up the beds Barry 🙌 6x2 sounds like a really nice size, plenty in the length and wide enough just so your not leaning over and putting your back out! Changing the direction too! Wow, lots of work is coming up for you! Are you trying to catch a different angle on the sun? There is definitely a bit of a cost in the start up of them but they work a treat! Take it easy out there plenty time to get the revamp complete before spring 🪚🔨🍂

@@thetinygarden_I heard and was told by Steve from Greenside Up RIP that our raised beds should go from North to South with the movement of the Sun, so mine were the other way because it was a rush job plus there was a shed in the way, now that it's not there i can change the direction of the beds and other stuff because i don't start any seeds until February, it's a pity i didn't live nearer to you or i would have helped you with yours, and this weather doesn't help either. 👍

That is such a good peice of info on the beds that makes so much sense and I never thought of it that way and then the sun will pass over east to west (RIP Steve 💚) Plenty time and beds to move and build before spring! I'll have to get your plane fare covered 🤣

Your plants look so healthy and green. With all the rain we've been having, there are thousands of insects in my garden nibbling the leaves of my flowers. It's only April but I refuse to stop being organic. I hope you have better luck in Ireland!

Thank you Bay! So many little critters around I've tried twice to germinate carrots this season. No luck, they keep getting eaten 😅 thankfully I have a few months ahead to try again!

Hey Laura! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Thanks for sharing the reworking of your garden with us. I don’t think you should blame yourself for your massive plants getting so tall. They were so healthy and huge…like your pattypan! I took my tomato plants down and composted them. Like you I took in many green tomatoes and every single one turned red and was juicy and scrumptious! 🍅 Take care, Cindy.

Hey Cindy 👋 it's so nice to hear from you! The pattypan 🤩 that plant just keeps on giving doesn't it!! Great news on the toms turning red 🥳 nothing beats the taste of home grown! Did you fancy switching up the plants or did you get the dreaded blight? 🫣 😯
@cindytennessee

My tom’s weren’t spectacular this year, so I decided to take them down this month. I will treat them differently next year. Never heard anyone having blight around here. Maybe it’s your climate. 🌧️ maybe. I do want to grow costoluto genovese next year. A big hug for you and Roo-boo!

@cindytennessee wow no blight! I imagine you have super hot dry summers ☀️ I think costaluto is my new favourite variety of tom to grow, definately getting that in the ground earlier next season! Awh that is so kind 💖 Roo-boo says hi!! 🐾hope you have spectacular day, take care Cindy! 🤗🌱

That really love that first move on the revamp. They have some dwarf bush squash that might suit your needs. I have been looking into those myself, so that I can have more varieties in my space. Glad those toms are ripening up inside for you.

So pleased you liked it Robin! It felt so good to go in and rejig the space! It's a small start, I have to wait for the other crops to finish up before I can continue! Dwarf squash sound perfect! I did have some dwarf beans on the go but the pattypan consumed them! I am on my last punnet of toms 🥲 the season just goes so quick!!

Of wow, no messing about, complete bed move 😮. Great planning 😊 for a better location. Oh a freshly planted bed I love ❤ Off to make a vegetable curry 😊 we had massive thunder storms at 2am soo think the gardens are going to be soaked. Soo glad I went last night to harvest the veggies. Going to read up on my mic too, latest video… it was working, then tripod fell over and I thinking the mic stopped working after that 😂 all fun and games. Take care Love A & T 😊

Straight in, no messing 😆 I had so much fun doing up the new bed, I love a freshly prepared bed too, it's one of the best things when spring comes around! You're starting in the kitchen early Allie! Nothing worse than a down pour of rain and all.youe veggies bursting at the seems from all the water intake, sounds like autumn is on its way for you too!! 🍂🍁 no doubt you're keeping busy while Tricia is on hols, take care and enjoy the peace and quiet 😆🙈xx

I guess we all have a different way of measuring things 😅 The garden is 10.1ft by 9.1 ft, I put it through google which makes it... Square Footage = 91.91 ft² Square Inches = 13,235.04 in² Square Yards = 10.21 yd² Square Meters = 8.54 m² Acres = 0.00211 acre Hope this helps!! 😆🌱

I really think railway sleepers are the best for raised beds 😊. 8 meters squared Google says thats 86.111 feet squared. ( Im still in feet, pounds ans stones 😮 ). So thats a good growing area, it doesn't look that big. Think Google got it wrong 😅
