I was thinking the very same thing it's really sad that Awsome creators are kinda put on a time limit to create something and then some think it's OK to criticize everything from time to concept. I luv this and alot more creative channels and it seems there is toxic behaviour pushed onto and around really cool creators who are just decent peeps doing what they luv and luckily for us sharing that process...

This guy’s videos are hard to watch because he feels the need to show his face in closeup for 3/4 of the video. A lot of youtubers do that- they don’t realize the camera turns the other way too. There are some tubers that I have never seen. They make fantastic videos, and I have no idea what they look like. Too much of the face, I say.

Hey Nick! Love your videos. Do you think you could take the DVD idea but put it into a butterfly mold? I'm thinking like a light catcher or something like that. It would be so cool when the sun catches the disks and all those colors, eeeeeeh!

If you ran over those jagged edges with a super hot curling iron or the tip of a hot (empty) glue gun, the jags would literally melt away. In the end, it didn't really matter though. 😁 The finished project looks FAB!!! 🎄🙋🏽‍♀️✌🏽 I spoke too soon. 🎸 This is not just fab; it's EXQUISITE! Well done Nick! 👏👏👏

Amazing! If you soak the discs in water for an hour, they’re so much easier to cut and don’t look chipped! I did it with my dressing table! ☺️

you just dragged me all the way back to 2002 and 2003, when i was a student in art school and there were boxes of "free, take one!" AOL cd-roms on every streetcorner in town. We had a shiny rainbow curtain made of cds strung together in my apartment, and everyone's student projects had either bits of cd-roms or rainbow wire scavenged from all the companies downtown that were just starting to upgrade their networks around the same time. was an interesting time for found art supplies. btw a lot of the color change of the rainbow bits is likely both from the heat of the resin curing and the resin filling in the tiny pit ridges on the cd and dvd surface that are the cause the rainbow effect on the discs. The guitar turned out beautiful though, it has a very opal or paua/abalone shell look to it that is really very nice!

I love how that turned out! I really enjoy the fact that you don't edit out all of the problems that you run into. It's quite encouraging to those of us who try new things that don't go as smoothly as we had hoped. Good on ya!

Funkaliciousness of the magnitude you've created in this video cannot be rushed Nick, one does not simply speed run the funk! Always worth waiting for, a healthy dose of Zammeti waffle is the perfect cure for the Monday blues.

Okay. First of all, that looks amazing. It looks like a combination of mother of pearl and stained glass and it's BEAUTIFUL! Second of all, you can do all this cool crafty stuff, and you know how to assemble a guitar AND YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY IT? Did you just take a piece of fruit from every branch on the talent tree? Hot damn, man! Well done!

WOW!!! Just absolutely beautiful as you know beautiful things takes time. Don’t know if you’re planning on selling it but I’m sure you can get a good chunk of change for the guitar. Your patience is incredible. I just cannot get over how beautiful that guitar is. Great job, a job well done. Hello from the Texas Hill country Steve

Nick, have you ever thought about putting a load of these Cd,s into a food blender, granulate them to about chunks (8mm) then put them into the resin and cast a guitar body to keep them in suspension youl have to rotate the mould until it goes off, then light will reflect of the CDs from all angles, just a thought.

My guy, you don't have to apologize for a project taking longer than expected. Honestly it shows us that you take pride in what you do, not only as a content creator, but as a Maker as well. You just do whatever you need to make sure your projects meet your expectations. Now for the real question.. Can you shred on that thing?

Could definitely tell you were starting to lose it a bit on this one, especially in the middle with the tired, manic laughter. :p So glad it turned out in the end-it's gorgeous, you should totally consider auctioning it or raffling it to your fans or something if it's not a gift. Because I'm sure someone would play it forever.
