Making A Rocket Lamp // Woodworking Project

I saw a bunch of rocket lamps online and wanted to build one, but I wanted mine to be primarily made out of wood. There was a lot of trial and error, but in the end, this rocket lamp was a really fun project and I am really happy with how it turned out. This is another one of those woodworking projects that was a great way to use up scrap wood. Hope this gives you some ideas for some unique projects of your own. Thanks to Graff for sending me the carving disc, it's been a lot of fun to use.

That is awesome. I would not tackle this without a lathe..You are very talented.Do you cut off the extra lights? If so, is the cut off usable in another project?

Thank you! So what ended up happening is: I slid everything into the lamp before cutting the strand and just for fun, I wrapped the rest of the strand around the post to see what it would look like, and when I fitted it together, I just left it like that. I normally do cut off the extra and I've never used the cut off myself, but there are a bunch of videos that show how to solder these strands if you didn't want the extra to go to waste.

Wonder how fairy lights would work on this project? I mite have try it out onr day

Fairy lights would probably work but I think you would need a lot of them since their lumen count is usually pretty low.

Are you talking about super glue with activator? I'm not familiar with a wood glue that bonds instantly.
