What a great job, I was very impressed by your router jig to make the chamfer on the table top, on a table I made I used a hand plane, it was not easy but having my daughter help with the built ( table was for her) it did not mater. Always a joy to see your work

Aluminum brace in contact with steel screws will cause galvanic corrosion of the aluminum, better to use nylon or plastic bushings to separate them.

Thanks you!! His hands were tied with filming right next to me🤣 I would only ask for help when the task weight and size surpasses what I could handle, and this was a “smaller” scale glue up so I was able to do it by myself ;-)

Hello, I loved your work, I am from Mexico, right now I have a project like this, I would like to know what angle you used on the bases to give that conical shape 😅😅
@Cunderpants5 ай бұрын
what calculator did you use to find the cut and splay angles? i'm wanting to do something similar but i'm not sure how to calculate the splay angle for the taper from bottom to top
@ClarasWoodshop4 ай бұрын
I personally did this with Rhino. I know there’s a compound angle calculator online somewhere that I’ve seen people use but I don’t know exactly that website.
@stevebirenbaum7026 Жыл бұрын
Very cool base! Did you use a calculator to determine the side angles and tapers?
@HelloAnthony2 жыл бұрын
I couldn't tell from the can which finish you used. Looks like it might be Osmo? If so, was it clear or raw? I recently used Osmo clear matte on a white oak project and it was a bit amber for my taste. Very nice table. Cheers!
@ClarasWoodshop2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Anthony!! You got it right, I used Osmo 3054 Clear Satin. I also dislike that Amber tone you get from oil based finishings but I found Osmo's to have a bit less than other brands I've tried.

Where do you get thick pieces of oak like that?
@ClarasWoodshop Жыл бұрын
I got it from Houston Hardwoods in Houston, but if you live in a different state check out your local lumber yards. They always have wider selection than what you can get from big box stores😁🙌
