I made a ring for my girlfriend with a piece of sea glass from the beach where we first kissed. Don't worry the video isn't soppy!
Join me for this sea glass ring tutorial where I show the process of how to set sea glass into a sterling silver ring.

Hey you made my wedding ring and said it was one of the first you did with seaglass. You made a sea glass inlay for me. After 2 years it's still in great condition and I love it. So excited that you've made a video about a full seaglass ring.

Love this video. You hit the nail on the head when you said about the fear of picking up the tools incase its not perfect. Have tried making several pieces of sea glass jewellery for my daughter and they are far from perfect. Working with a piece of glass found on the beach which is meaningful and imperfect is better than buying a piece thats perfect.abd not meaningful. Have lots of moments where picking up the tools is difficult, but will keep trying. Thank you for the inspiration.

If you are wanting to make more bezel ring or whatever I suggest getting a tripod with a thick mesh screen. This will allow you to keep the heat in the work and you can heat it from the underside that way you can't melt the thin bezel. 😁👍

Perfect work! And perfect vdeo! Interesting - what liquid you use after soldering? I think, it's not sulfuric acid, as I use, becauce you make video and inhale this. Maybe lemon acid? It's more safety for health. By the way. It's funny. I live near the sea, I find seaglass and I never thaught about making such jewelry. Now I have example of great work with it. Thank you!

I'm certainly not claiming to be an expert, but I saw on another video that if you heat the flux until it stops bubbling THEN add the solder, it saves chasing it around because the flux gets sticky (or something). Still and all, another fun watch and great project.

@ZebranoWoodCraft
@ZebranoWoodCraft 3 ай бұрын
Well easy solder melts at a lower temperature than hard. So if you’re making a piece with multiple joins then use hard for the first one, medium or easy for the subsequent ones. That way you won’t melt your first seam when soldering other bits on 👊🏽
