Fantastic little jig, Rob! Well done! 😃 You could also make a base to fit it, where you would fix a bar for the bandsaw miter slot. Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Handy as a shirt pocket! It would be good to have multiples of them, on for each station...even the bench. 😎 Thanks Rob!

great, built one. Why is the rubber on the far slope, not the near slope? Seems to me that it would stop any rotation better on the near side 🤔?

Excellent. I particularly like that it has applications other than the bandsaw; the centring function is very clever. I had a similar wee doodah for my old bandsaw but never around to making a new one. This'll give me a kick to get a new one made. I'm intrigued to see the advanced version...

I made a center drilling jig a while ago...but this is so much more simpler than that one. The advanced version of this is going to be wild. Hopefully I can get it out by next week... Thanks Mark! You feeling better?

Your obsession with floor runner material has me thinking I should likely start incorporating it into my works for things other than just shoe racks... :)

It's just so handy! I call it a revolution because I use it in just about everything!

@@makethingswithrob I made a sliding one for the bandsaw and it works great - made the holder as you but then laid sticks across the ends attached by dowels and cut out the vees by hand and glued sandpaper both sides works a treat and stable as

Yes, that’s something I need to build. Whether I might or not is another question. Since this one is so simple for what it does the next project I have where this sled would be handy I plan to include the sled in the project. As always I’ll mention in any videos that the sled is used in I’ll mention where the idea and design came from.

Ok yeah I am building this. I am getting into making toys and need to cut and drill dowels. Now I just have to watch the advanced one and get some exotic wood to make one, because.. why not.

Haha, that's the spirit! There is an update to it coming soon that gets rid of the annoying double base that the old one had...but it'll be built with a bandsaw sled that I think...is pretty original.

Oh it's coming...I decided to turn it into something insane. I've only finished the base, but it will have jigs that will attach to the base, one of which will be the dowel cutter. I released this a bit early to go with the bitesize video.
