Note for people wanting to program in INTERCAL: The computed ABSTAIN method is not the original if statement method, and is also not portable (only works in C-INTERCAL, not J-INTERCAL or the .NET INTERCAL compiler "cringe"). There is a portable way to write an if statement. There is a RESUME command, which is sort of like a return command from a NEXT (every NEXT puts the previous operation onto a call stack). RESUME takes an argument, which is an INTERCAL expression. Strangely, this argument is how many levels down to return to. You can completely skip returning to earlier routines. The thing is, this actually allows the standard if statement. Assuming the variable is stored in .2 and you want to check whether it's zero, you can run this code (replacing the variables and labels 1 and 2 with the ones you need for your situation): DO NOTE: The following line makes the result either #0 or #1. DO .1

As an American I think we should make the switch to binary once and for good Arabic numerals are literally never used in most applied mathematical applications in switching to binary we would conform with the rest of the nonhuman mathematical world no longer will hardware circuit designers and programmers have to make circuits to convert.

The first working Malbolge program was written *two years* after the language was created, and it was only possible by a computer basically brute-force checking every possible source code strings until one worked. The guy who created Malbolge has never been able to write a program in it. So... yeah, no thanks 😂

I did a "less than" in intercal by subtracting and then doubling (adding to itself) to check the overflow value of the sign bit. Yeah I think an example is needed. Here is "is 3 less than 4", also I am too lazy to google the stdlib addresses so deal with it. DO .1
