Use a blow-dryer to force air into the grill it would work better if you just dug a trench in the ground stacked bricks along it and threw the charcoal in it and stacked some over the top and use a blow-dryer at one end to force air thru

Maybe I should get my shovel out the next time, a trench sounds effective! 🔥 Thank you for taking the time to leave some tips. Have a great day! ✌️🤘

Propane or mapgas torch would work I think. Just the can with screw in nozzle

I actually think you're right. Should make it hot enough to bend more easily. 👍

hey man beautiful work indeed. is that iron rod the one used in construction? I may look for scrap iron shops and wanna know what Im looking for
@HeavyMetalParkingSpot

Thanks! The rod I'm using is nothing special, don't know exactly what steel it is. I just picked it up at my local steel supplier. Historically I think people have always picked up stuff from scrap shops to make sissy bars. I hope you'll be able to create something cool, let me know if you do! ✌️

Looks like I'm going backwards with the videos this time round ..lol. 1st attempt yeah ok to find out what's possible or not 2nd great effort looks good enough to pass muster . Im sure you are now quite versed with the welder to redress some of the welds just for cosmetics more than anything else . Hope you have managed to have a go at the bbq improvements , as many have stated forced air would help and possibly a coal designed for a forge not bbq . Looking forwards to catching up with the videos . Respect

You are fine to go whichever direction you like with the video. I'm just grateful that you are watching them! 🍻 I did intentionally leave most of the welding to a later stage, in hopes that I would be a better welder. Not sure if that has happened yet, but I will touch up all the welds before painting and such. I haven't had the opportunity to have another go at the barbeque just yet. But I have received so many great tips so I'm sure I will have better luck the next time. Thank you again for watching and taking the time to comment! ✌️🤘

Try using forced air up from the bottom of you barbeque. Turns it into a poor man's forge. Enjoy watch someone build a bike with their own hands. No store bought parts. Keep up the good work
@HeavyMetalParkingSpot

That is a great idea, I would probably need a bigger hole in the bottom. Or maybe I just have to build myself a little forge. 😉 Thank you for highlighting the "built not bought" aspect. I always wanted to build a bike, not just assemble it. I also enjoy the challenge of learning new things and picking up new skills. Thank you for subscribing and taking the time to leave a comment! ✌️🤘
