I often get comments on these videos asking what sorts of tools I use!
This time around, I wanted to make something that demonstrates that you can make cool music without any fancy tools or anything special :)
If you're looking for some nice free instruments or are on the fence of deciding to get into music production, I hope any of this may help !!
INSTRUMENTS
Piano: Spitfire Labs, Soft Piano
Harp: Native Instruments, Irish Harp
Music Box: Frozen Plain, Music Box Suite
Violin, Viola, Cello: Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover
MIXING
EQ: FL Stock, Fruity Parametric EQ
Reverb: FL Stock, Fruity Reeverb 2
Limiter/Compressor: FL Stock, Fruity Limiter
Dynamic EQ/Resonance Suppression: Tokyo Dawn Records, TDR Nova
Soundgoodizer: FL Stock, Soundgoodizer :evil_shadow_skull:
SOFTWARE
Alright, I'm using FL Studio here and have the $200 version myself, but there's also a free trial version that allows you to do everything I demonstrated here!
The downside of the free trial version is that although you can save projects, you cannot open them. Making it a great way to learn the software and make music, but not a great way to work on long-term projects. If you're looking for a free alternative DAW which is capable of doing all the same things, I would recommend Ardour!
