Enjoyed the video. What weight leathers are you using?

I generally use a 5-6 oz vegi tanned leather for sporran flaps. I have used 2-3-4 oz vegitan if I plan to line the flap, which I have done on occasion.

When looking for a military sporran for formal occasions, I am looking for brass or gold plated metal work. Is it possible to send in an order for a custom formal sporran?
@moncrieffleathers40713 жыл бұрын
Gunny Marcussen unfortunately, I do not do metal work. If your looking for a sporran with a brass or gold plated cantle, you might check out Margret Morrison, they make sporrans with metal cantles and they do custom work. morrison-sporrans.co.uk/ Thanks for checking with me! Kerry

Moncrieff Leathers thank you very much for the response. I will inquire with Morrison Sporrans as suggested... cheers!

Do you have patterns for your masters, i.e. flap/belt loop, front, back?
@moncrieffleathers40715 жыл бұрын
I do. I have taken some basic patterns and tweaked them to fit my own particular style. If you are looking for basic sporran patterns there are lots of them readily available for free on the Internet.

Do you know who the band is on the intro music to your video? I have a recording of this but I don't know the band name. Thanks.

Matt furg not right off hand. I’ll try to hunt it down for you.

That would be outstanding because I'd like to hear everything else the band may have created; I love bagpipes and drums.
