Take it from a fine art student, sculpting people, and especially faces, is HARD hard! What you've achieved is an amazing result taking into account you said you've not studied sculpting! I'm sure she appreciates both the offering itself and the time, dedication and commitment to stepping out of your comfort zone! Also I'm happy you're feeling better and that you're making videos again, you're such a point of inspiration for me 💜 Buona fortuna per l'avvenire!

As a pagan who has never bought a single icon statue, I must express my respect and appreciation for this type of devotional work. Statues you make yourself are always infused with so much more energy than the store bought pieces. I made my entire pantheon out of clay I dig and fire myself. That process and the material i.e. the clay from my local area really plucks the deity out of the realm of academic and mythological sphere and puts it into the here and now. LOCALITY is the key.

hear hear! thanks for sharing. This is one of the reasons I don't really buy statues, if I do, they really really have to speak to me.

She looks so good! She has a dignity and solemnity that is completely missing from the store-bought examples. You did a great job! I also like your bumper bangs

I had the same problems trying to find a statue for Hekate. They were all very Wiccan inspired, sexually depicted women. My husband has a 3D printer so he printed me a scan of the Roman copy of Alkamenes’s statue. I painted it with stone looking spray paint. Is it perfect? No. I wish it was made of natural material but she’s the best I have yet to find and I love her.

Thank you for sharing this because I admire the can-do spirit and how I'm not alone suffering for art. I cannot draw faces well and lips are hard.

LOVED this video, watching the process was so cool & the finished product is amazing. Also very informational too lol. Loved the touches of gold. I've never considered using that sort of clay before but if I'm ever in the market for making stuff out of clay again, I'm definitely going to consider it. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this video, for a time now I feel a strong connection to Hestia and now I wanna appreciate her in the way I do a statue of her. So I’m really thankful to give me this idea. I think it will be a lot of fun so thank you 🙏

I've been getting into carving a bit I really want to carve some statues once I get my hands on some tools. I've worked a bit with clay but it's a bit more frustrating.

I enjoyed watching this creative process, and your statue of Tyche is beautiful! Do you perform and rite the first time you place a new statue upon your altar? I just got a new Hekate statue and basically I invited her into the statue and offered bread, water, salt, honey, incense, and candles. I was wondering what you do in this regard?

i´ve been thinking of ways to get my dee included in my photojournals, without it being offensive. maybe from behind a tree, with thick leaf cover, or rising from the water, too obvious.. maybe a snow mould, that would not go down well, or go down it would. it´s like the opposite of the movie rules, you would never show it resting.. you want to at least imply you mean business, beware ladies, and beware they would :) (not in a good way, you have talk at least a couple of nights, then you get to flash them, maybe one night with some girls) i just want to flash to mother nature! (we´re so covered from head to toe here in the winter, it feels heavy, like a second skin, like it was before with animal skin clothing, they actually cleaned the skin automatically, that´s why they rarely had to wash in the winter, water bad).
