God job! Did the marks from your drizzled finish on the top ever go away?

Hello and thank you for the question. The marks faded to barely noticeable but did not go away completely. This was the first time I used OSMO and I should have spread more of the wax around with a scraper and let it all soak in for a few minutes then wipe and buff. The weird thing is that I used the same method underneath the table and it didn't make marks. I will be stripping the top and reapply the finish.

I just refinished the top and there are no more marks. I used a paint brush to apply, waited 5 minutes, wiped off the excess and buffed with a white pad.

What grit do you sand to on the epoxy? Just getting into woodworking and I made some epoxy Inlay coasters and sanded them but cant get the swirl marks out completely. Thank you!

I sanded this table up to 220 grit. If you are getting swirl marks, it is usually due to a particle on your sand paper or under the paper on the pad. when I do my final sanding, I use my dust extractor to vacuum the sander pad and paper if it is not new and to make sure it is clean. I hope this helps. It is important to keep your sand paper clean and uncontaminated.

What polish compound are you using for the buff

Originally I used the Osmo Polyx White, but left white residue in the walnut and didn’t look good on closer look. I should have bought the Osmo Clear polyx. I ended up sanding off the finish and using rubio Monocoat pure which I already had in my shop. I made another video explaining my mistake so others wouldn’t make the same mistake. Thanks for watching, much appreciated.
