Excellent video EA. Keep it up. Us hobbyist appreciate it.

I would suggest getting tungsten electrodes from welding shop. You could use them for the hinge pins. They might be easier to find spots to put them in the thinner sections too. I appreciate the videos, always well done.

I learned quite a bit from this series. I hope to see the lure finished and in action, thanks!

I kindda like the way its swims. Why change it; although probably because you had something else initially planned in thought and design. I know you’re trying to accomplish that entire fish body movement but truly, it kindda reminds me of how an Oscar fresh water fish swims. Great video and keep it going dude.

Thanks...I think it swims pretty well too, I just need to satisfy my need to tweek it.

Do you think that middle piece made of a different material it actually hold the head of your lure from moving as well as the rest or the number of segments?Great video! Thank you sir!
@EngineeredAngler5 жыл бұрын
I don't expect much movement from the head but, the second piece should be moving more. We'll see if reducing the friction does it. But to answer your question, yes I think since the second piece turned out to be heavier than the others. ..it's dragging.
@ericstanley80035 жыл бұрын
Do you think the friction on the second piece is from the slots being a little tight? I also wondered if the twisted hook tie instead of a smooth pin was an issue.
@EngineeredAngler5 жыл бұрын
I checked the hook eye. ..no issues there....the friction from the slots I can clearly feel....we'll see if it makes things better to open the slots a bit.

Nooooo 😱😱 you cant leave it there EA .......... Was our the material that caused the second section not to swim? Was it the hinge? Was it weight? 😂😂😂 seriously need to see the result. Great video as always 😉👍☘☘☘

Ok...I'll be posting the on going saga 😆

the head needs to be more bulky shape to push more water, it should gain more movement for the front 2 segments.

film the follow up testing. I personally love the action but want to see the changes made and how they affect it. or effect it. I'm not a linguistics nerd

Yea man...had some ideas today for some changes. ..definitely have to film the results.

I think the Problem is the free movement. if the last 2 pieces do all the work,why should the other Segments work… with a v-cut the last Segments cant work free, so the next parts have to work… and you have 7 Segments,with the conectors.what happends with too much Segments,the needlefish… i hope you unstand my bad english, i`m from Germany... you are doing a great Job. but somtimes physic is trying, not math... and thanks alot for doing my next fail
@EngineeredAngler5 жыл бұрын
I think you might be right the extreme freedom of movement is working against me. My next experiment is to add some drag to the tail by adding a tail fin...we will see.

Hey man. Ive been working my lure shop but Im having a few struggles staying organized. Any recommendations?
@EngineeredAngler5 жыл бұрын
We'll I tend to go from neat and organized to total chaos..lots of picking up in between. What helps me is that I devided my work space into areas for specific tasks so all the tools and materials are where I need them and the mess I make is easier to recover from.
@darrenrutkowski55005 жыл бұрын
@@EngineeredAngler I understand the chaos lol. Thanks for your words of wisdom.

why the second piece doesnt move?

I think because friction is too high...

I don't usually use tails on swimbaits...just seems like a decoration to me. But, this one WILL have a tail. It just looks too good to leave it off.
