Habit is a new lovely loop guitar pedal by the super-combo of ‪@Knobs‬ and ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬. It records a 3 minute loops constantly in the background, and scans through that. This is a concept that fits my style very well, and I had fun from the start. Here is a track I made in 3 minutes for the compilation "Habitapes" they plan to release soon on cassette.

A sound collage, that is a beautifully concise way of describing what you made. The cross over with scissors and glue and magazines feels so poetic in this context. I almost felt your "one take" live creative nerves with this which adds an authentic tone to it. Thanks for everything you do.

Aside from music tech knowledge, this track shows a really tasteful ability to improvise and put musical ideas together! Improvising something short and cohesive like this as a performance, especially solo, is extremely difficult. I really enjoyed the track, in fact it is the best piece of improv I have heard in months! Thank You !!!

Everytime I see your old and lovely instruments the more I wish for a specific instrument. The idea I would like to share: some kind of player instrument that contains samples from the old gear (and/or modeled) but also with: - A bank with additional clicks and mechanical sounds to add/blend. It differs when you click an old style button, membrane, switch etc. They all have their different styles to achieve what they do but they can also sound and feel different. - Tiny delays (imperfections of the device/bad contacts) in sound when pushing a key, not only the sounds it also affects the note played (simulating the hands/style of the player). - A “chorder” - A big fat looper for effects.

For $400 they could've added 2 more jacks and even a better processor and 3 more minutes of memory, if that's what's needed to make it stereo. Most of the cost is development, right? Maybe they would say "spend $800 if you want a stereo 3 minute buffer" or "let them eat cake!" But then Gloupe costs even more, and you can't even buy a Cosmos, so the market for this type of fx doesn't quite make sense to me. Which is weird, because the effect itself makes sense to me. Meanwhile, I see people write that the effect doesn't make sense to them, but they're buying I immediately anyway. So... yeah. I'll continue my search, and keep glitching the old fashioned way, until the right pedal comes along at a reasonable price.
