MARTIN THE ROBOT MACHINE RETURNS!!! I knew “he’d be back”. It’s what robot machine’s say when they leave important people. His shirt proves he’s a robot. It’s exactly what a robot would say.

What kind of machine? I could say that my body is a machine, but it is a machine that turns downloaded PDFs into unread PDFs.

Such a cool project! My Great-grandfather was on a train almost to New York to ship out to WWI when the war ended in 1918! When they got word about the war's end, they put all the soldiers on another train heading back home to Texas! Man... using that rail track for this project is so flipping awesome!

I collect Trench Art. I clicked on this video because I was hoping to perhaps get some ideas about how to repair some of the trench lighters that I have at home. Not far in, I cried foul because those things were made, by hand, often with improvised tools, by people that were doing it out of boredom in between bouts of mortal terror, and this is not that. Surely, this is nonsense! It wasn't. The amount of care and attention that you put into these is beyond question. I'm beyond impressed. Well done. It maybe wasn't what I thought it could be, but it's bloody fantastic. Carry on, please.

The wick needs frayed! More surface area for the fuel to evaporate AND catch a spark easier! It'll make the base of the flame larger leading to the entire flame being bigger I also think them getting warm is also a pro instead of a con, in the winter time i carry a zippo so I can let it burn for 2 or 3 minutes and it works as a hand warmer

Also your first design looks fine, just take off some brass to create a bit of distance to the flame. That way the brass doesn't take the heat away, that the flame needs to keep going.

Bro, your workshop is one of the coolest looking ones I have ever seen! How did you get all of these machines, and what about that rust, holed table thing?
@TimothyDyck21 сағат бұрын
The table is called a acorn or platen table, it has the holes so you can use special hold downs etc for building things. I should do a video on it sometime... Thanks!

TIM, if that zippo lighter is actually a REAL zippo... just fuck up the hinge a little bit and send it back for repairs without the insert you destroyed. They will repair the hinge and send the zippo with a brand new insert when repairs are completed. Free of charge, too (except initial postage, so one way shipping at about 4$ or something...) Lifetime guarantee on them fabulous, any sort of fuel, lighters! And if it's a made i canada, Niagara Falls stamped... i can buy it of you, too, i collect them!
@dafoex2 күн бұрын
I love the look of it, it's giving me a weird "pyromaniac's lipstick" vibe, which you may or may not have intended. Not sure how much of a trench lighter I'd call it, they were supposed to be wind resistant for use in the trenches, and a lot of the examples I've seen actually burned the wick as fuel so you would light with the ember, not a flame that could be blown out.

Adjustable airflow Steal ideas from vapes Good twist action solutions there
@the_once-and-future_king.4 күн бұрын
The chimney is too close around the wick in the first attempt. It's creating a vapor lock which severely limits adequate airflow. Zippos can suffer the same issue if they are over-saturated on filling.
