20:59 honestly this hits me so hard. I experienced something similar: after my graduation I came into a huge creative burnout/block that lasted almost over a half year bc school was a very stressful, tearful and challenging chapter. I was so exhausted that I couldn't even really paint or draw something so I decided to have a break for one year then to go to university. First I did felt some guilt bc everyone else went studiying or doing something abroad but as months passed and I could finally breath, I looked for design studies and universities that fit to me. Today is application day and for that I have to prepare a file with design and artworks, when I sat the last weeks to work on them I felt so happy and energised to be able to create something again and the guilt finally faded away. I am very relieved though I have a lot of things to do xD but thank you ❤️ Seeing someone who opened up about struggling as well let me know i am not alone and it's okay to take a break. It's okay to be in a slump for a short while in order to find yourself again later ^^

I was talking to Pat today about how I realised that time is such an abstract thing. It's literally based on how long it takes the Earth to go around the sun. We're "supposed" to achieve new things with every passing year, like moving grade 1 to grade 2 when we're kids. But who's to say it takes "1 year" to learn the given syllabus? I felt sad just thinking about how mentally fatigued the kids who stayed back a year must have been. Basically what I'm trying to say is everyone needs different amounts of time to learn and grow, so if you need to take more time, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. 🙂 I'm really happy you decided to take time off for YOU. Even when you're in University remember it's ok to take a breather whenever you need to, too! Keep going ❤️
