Does this count as Norwegian dress history? It is certainly heavily influenced and inspired by it.
And I guess technically this isn't the Victorian era because it isn't inspired by Victorian England. But... same period, different region. :)

"We're going to represent all the people who just liked doing things but weren't necessarily experts at everything" is going to be my theme for this month. Love it. Also love the purse, it turned out beautifully! Stash busting and budget friendly - truly an ideal end result. I love what your mind comes up with! Also again, an honourable mention to certain purring friends in the video, they are much appreciated 🧡

This is wicked cute. May give this a go, using a draw-string instead of the purse closure.

Ma Kristine , I am very impressed with your embroidery skills...this cute purse Norwegian style is just so pretty.... I would like to see your take on something I do not seem to get quite clear: A Mexican embroidery called: TENANGO. this type of embroidery in used on Mexican and Guatemalan blouses called: HUIPIL this litle blouse is very simple, and has a long history as far as the Azteca times. I LOVED your presentation on: DARNING I used to do it when I was very young, since socks were so expensive in Central America. I also would like to see your take on the Japanese PATCH mending called : BORO sound simple, but is not.... Thank you for the time you take to give us the history of the craft you are presenting.... Josefina Mccarty. U S A South Florida....

This is enchanting! What are the skirt hooks called, please?
@KristineVike
@KristineVike 11 ай бұрын
I am not sure if they have a specific name, but in Norwegian they fall under “veskelås”, or “purse lock”. I would struggle to find the appropriate terms in English, but I imagine “chatelaine” would start you off on the right direction.
