They toe the line between good and evil (Cole can be either due to the karma system and Alex’s powers are naturally destructive with the player deciding how far he goes and becoming the main antagonist in Prototype 2) and operate in fictional versions of New York City. They gained their abilities thanks to the actions of government conspiracies (The First Sons and Gentek/Blackwatch) and inadvertently caused city-wide plagues and destruction during the same event that gave them their powers. They have since worked to dismantle said conspiracies with their powers and are known for their immense versatility, in addition to being able to consume unusual sources to regenerate themselves(electricity and biomatter). Jimmy Hopkins vs Ayano Aishi (BULLY vs Yandere Simulator) is a game matchup I'd love to see even though it will likely never happen and is a bit of a stomp. Both are teenagers who live on their own while attending large prestigious schools while their parents are away. Both have good experience in CQC, weaponry use, and stealth. Both characters have a wide range of skills and items to use during combat. Both are willing to go through great lengths to achieve their goals (with Jimmy's being to climb to the top of the social hierarchy, stopping corruption and uniting the different factions in Bullworth academy. And Ayano's being to gain the love of Taeko Yamada while eliminating all of her rivals before they confess.) through peace or violence if necessary. Whether that's doing favors for people, gathering intel, stealing, manipulating, beating up gang members or sneaking into facilities. Both are open, story driven games taking place on large school campuses and towns. Both have many classes, jobs and activities to attend that give you skills, money or items to help during missions and side missions. Both games have reputation systems which change depending on the missions you complete and how you treat people in the schools. And both games have a time system where you must complete things during a certain time of the day or before a certain day of the week.

FGO's lore extends to the Human Order having a limited amount of timelines with around the size of the galaxy in the biggest depth. Not to say there aren't any strong as shit things running around, but Fate is one of the most overwanked nightmares I've seen in vs debates. The amount of people who look at this well written lore talking about how the timeliness are limited and they have to be pruned away turn around and go "Yeah Gilgamesh is Infinite Multiversal lmao". Like, not an attack against anyone here, but I'm just ranting. Per proper comparison. Mash's shield at its strongest could block an attack from Goetia's beam O doom, which could punch a hole through the planet with said individual beams.

a matchup i really want to see: Ethan Winters VS Sebastian Castellanos (Resident Evil VS The Evil Within) 2 men that found zombie worlds kind of randomly, were confused most of the first game (yes, i know Ethan was in the 7th game, but RE7 was way different than the other ones and it's Ethan's first apparition) but still gunned their way through their enemies, and emerged victorious, their trauma from the first game was touched upon in the second one, while they were both thrown back into the fight to save their respective daughters (and both later realized that their wives were there too). I'm not entirely sure who'd win. I'd say Sebatian has a lot more experience, in terms of zombie fighting, physical ability and training (being a former police inspector), but Ethan has fought much stronger foes than Sebastian, and he has some level of actual damage resistance (being made of mold and all), instead of Sebastian's "just a video game health bar". but then, Sebastian has stealth kills that could probably easily kill him, but then he'd have to actually be able to pull off said stealth kill, and in terms of knife skills i'd say it's more or less equal, with the advantage going to Sebastian (again, police training and sometimes he has a once-shot axe). although i think i remember something about Ethan being trained by Chris Redfield, between the event of the first game and the second one. i don't expect this to be the most epic fight, or anything, or even why they'd even bother fighting, but i feel that'd be an interesting match-up.

The only GTA fight I've wanted to see sadly doesn't work which annoys me because it sounds so good. I really wanted to see Trevor vs Rorschach from Watchmen. They have some similarities where they were raised by abusive mothers who were prostitutes and both are murderous criminals but its the fact that they're so different that makes me want this fight. Trevor is emotional and agressive, Rorschach is cold and typically calm, Trevor is overly sexual, Rorschach is likely asexual, Trevor respects women and hates people being sexist, Rorschach is uncomfortable around women and generally rude around them. Like...these two contrast in interesting ways and would absolutely HATE EACH OTHER so the fight would make so much sense...except Rorschach is so grounded that this is likely a HUGE stomp in favor of Trevor. Like, Rorschach is probably a better fighter but that's all he has, what is he going to do against all Trevor's guns when he has at most, a grappling hook, pocket pepper, spray deodorant and a lighter and a butchers knife. I could see Rorschach being a threat with prep time but prep time isn't allowed so he just gets gunned down effortlessly which doesn't sound fun to watch at all.

Terraria doesn't really work in 3D at all hand drawn is really the only style I can see the fight working in. For other video games that really don't get much love in vs at all I would choose StarCraft and Infinity Blade, only issue is that Infinity Blade doesn't have many good fights while StarCraft has a big variety of them.

Alex vs Cole: I could see a lot of wide traversing the city in the fight. Maybe to add some story you could have Alex being all "We are above these humans, why do you protect them?" usual villain speil to add some kind of character/story to the fight. Cole's ice causing massive necrosis when Alex tries to do any big tendril shit would be cool too. Jack vs Travis: I imagined it being in color with them using the Anarchy Reigns model for Jack (They'd probably do a composite Jack saying they are like "The same character in different situations" like with Broly). I could see them using OmegaSparks to do a song in a similar style to Anarchy Reigns' music since they used a bit of it in prev DBs (Dante vs Bayo, Snake vs Sam, Tracer vs Scout). If Travis wins I could see them using the same ending shot from NMH2 Boss Battles. You know like "JACK CAYMAN.......DEAD!" My only worry is that they might do Travis vs Scott Pilgrim. Gray Fox vs Genji: Imagine a shot where the two are standing right in front of each other but swinging their swords so fast you can't see them move. So it looks like they are just standing there staring at each other but they are actually moving at hyperspeeds to slice. Gray Fox shows this in MGS1 and Genji does this with his Deflect, although his is more noticeable with green afterimages so you could interpret this as him not being as fast as Gray Fox since while GF is so fast he can't be seen Genji can move fast but you can still see him. IDK if GF actually has the speed advantage.

Suggestion number 3 for a season of fights that involve fandom shenanigans. This time's example is Galactus VS the Planet-Eater from Sonic Holograph (though it might be a bit difficult as of now, since the Planet-Eater doesn't really have any proper visuals yet, as far as I recall). It's pretty simple: they're both obscenely big, obscenely powerful beings that consume whole planets as their MO that (usually in Galactus' case) need to be beaten via some kind of divine intervention, with the defining differences being that Galactus (in the comics, we don't talk ablut Fantastic Four movie Galactus) is portrayed as a giant humanoid while the Planet-Eater is just a big mass of tentacles and void, and that Galactus eats them traditionally from outside while the Planet-Eater usually hollows out the planet's core before sucking it up from the inside like a black hole... but it's _the animation potential_ that really carries this match-up. We could have an army battle on a planet about to be consumed by either one of them, set between Galactus' heralds and the Planet-Eater's void monsters. We could have both of them constantly eating up planets as the fight goes on, which causes the Planet-Eater's arsenal to expand as it gains more and more attack potential based on its devoured planets, thus forcing Galactus to use more and more of the Power Cosmic. Heck, we could probably have Galactus get infected with the Planet-Eater's miasma and either trudging through it as the fight keeps going or flicking it off with his own cosmic powers, depending on how you think their powers fare against each other. As for the research segment, Galactus is something _you_ think about, whereas with the Planet-Eater, there's a lot of potential for jokes that are either really good or really dumb. Some examples include the obvious hentai joke because lol tentacles, references to HP Lovecraft due to its original status as the Ancient Ones (which were themselves heavily based off of the Cthulhu Mythos), jokes about how exactly Nova Shadow (a symbiotic possession type thing between Shadow and a certain moon goddess from the Hololive side of the crossover that is Holograph) as a whole identifies gender-wise, and Wiz heavily wanting to dissect it to see what exactly makes it tick because he's a mad scientist and it is an eldritch abomination with its own personal army that devours planets so of course he'd be interested.

I don't know If it really is a good MU, but one idea that has remained in my head is Venom Snake (Metal Gear Solid V) vs Adam Jensen (Deus Ex Mankind Divided). Both of them received augmentations after getting severely injured in "accidents"; both are stealth specialists and cqc masters; both try to uncover conspiracies (patriots and Illuminati). I think it could be great if done in 3d with a high enough budget, something that could potentially rival Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher (I wish it could surpass that fight, but I doubt they would nail all the necessary aspects, like characterization, voice acting, a cool script/story/motive for the fight, an excellent animation that makes use of most of the combatants arsenal etc.). It could have a first person view from Jensen during part of the shooting, since Deus Ex Mankind Divided plays like a fps that goes into third person when you activate a melee ability. If anyone has more knowleadge about why this MU could be great or why if It's a bad idea, please share the information with me.

A video game matchup that I really like that I haven’t seen anyone else think of is Sly Cooper Vs Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. Anthropomorphic animals who use weapons that would be considered unconventional, a cane and a pair of boomerangs. Their series started off as conventional 3D collectathon platformers and evolved to be more open-worldy sandbox type games. Very little connections between them from what I can think of but I still adore this matchup. A better Sly matchup than Rouge the bat, Rocket Racoon, or Lupin III imo(also a bit more fair I think).

Behold, the first fan-made season that actually features Duke vs Sam. I mean, it was kind of unavoidable when talking about video games only but you still have my respect, sir. I think I left my first request for the fight back when Ratchet & Clank vs Jak & Daxter came out... time indeed flies even when it seems to have stopped for a couple years now. Anyhow, classic rivarly, classic/dated (old/gold) series, seeing how Sam had a fanmade sequel earlier this year... what is Roosterteeth waiting for? For Duke to come back after Bulletstorm? Looks like we're back to waiting... forever. Ironically, I would love the idea of Monster Hunter appearing in Death Battle... we could even add Stories to the mix and have Red & Charizard vs Lute/Leo with their Monstie Rathalos. Then again, seeing how fcking wild the MH scaling can get (monsters sinking islands, destroying kingdoms, altering climate etc.) and how visual some of the Kinship abilities are... goodbye Charizard. Again. Senator Armstrong is worthy of an episode, but so far the most popular opponent (Saxton Hale) would be a complete stomp. Saxton is OP in TF2, but Armstrong would fold him like paper. Also, I would love to see some MMORPG character here... my personal favourites being from Runescape. Either Nex (Angel of Death), Kerapac (the Bound) or the World Guardian (the player.) Obviously the scaling would take ages to do and the lore is a mess to sort through, but if you can scale the player to beings that can freeze entire planets or wipe out all sentient life, it would get pretty interesting to say the least. But then again, you can be harmed by rubber chicken so take it as you want. Also also, I have a non-serious request between Wild Dog (Time Crisis) and The Magician (The House of the Dead). Two iconic villains from on-rail shooters. That's about it. Edit: Since Elder Scrolls is getting a feature, how about a Fallout debut? Maybe a battle royale between all the protagonists? Or The Courier vs someone? Never read much into Fallout scaling... maybe now would be a good time.

My most wanted video game match up is Samus vs Megaman X. Metroid is my favorite video game series so I've wanted Samus to come back and X is her fairest fight I believe even though I've heard Samus shares more connections with Aile from Megaman ZX. For Samus vs X, I know it's a match Samus loses but the wide array of power ups each character has and the fact that most of them either counter, match or cancel out what the other can do, it could be great to see how the fight would turn out. In the end I think it would boil down to a war of attrition which X should win. Metroid Dread gave Samus a powerful "X Factor" ability that could win her the fight if she lands it, but she has to grab X for it to work which is unlikely. Not to mention the music potential for a Metroid/Megaman crossover will be amazing.

Honestly, Id love to see Clementine vs Ellie. And honestly, if done right, I think it could easily pass as a really good live action fight. Buuut I'd settle for a high quality 3D Blender fight too which you can technically do more with. Plus, I think that's actually a debate I wouldn't mind discussing since its less complex, more simple and grounded characters. Both have a chance buuuut I think I'd go with Clementine because she's a bit more trained, has had an arguably more brutal experience from humans and walkers alike and surviving through it for +10 years (in game, I don't know about the comics), and is a lot more in control of her emotions and is more committed to get a job done while Ellie is not, at least not after TLOU2. But still, a match up I really like and I'd love to see happen. I think there's a fair bit you can do with it. Plus, we haven't had a fight that was just two humans with different experiences since Lara vs Nathan and we all know how that went BUT, they could easily remedy the thought that more human = boring and/or unsuccessful fight if this one is really good and I'm all for that.

For Steve vs Terraria: I hope its in sprites, with Steve appearing as he does in Smash. Maybe its cause I just don't like how Terraria looks in 3D or atleast interpretations. Anyway Steve focusing on building contraptions before getting into his dungeons gear would be really cool, whilst Terraria Guy either just tanks it or you just see him at the end slowly each piece of armor that Steve slaps on, before we get something like the Command Block Sword vs the Solar Flare Armor. Or the Beacon vs the Prism.

one VG vs VG matchup I want is Ratchet and Clank vs Gaige (Ratchet and Clank vs Borderlands). In short, planet hopping mechanics that use a variety of different guns and gadgets to save the day from some major threats with a robotic sidekick. This MU allows both characters to use some of the wackyer guns from their games. Also a giant Clank vs DT moment would be epic, tho highly unlickly. I don't think R&C will return, nor do I think Borderlands will be used, I enjoy talking about this

23:47 This matchup is cool but it's Duke's least interesting and engaging matchup in my opinion, I get it's a long running grudge match but I feel like there is one matchup for the Duke that is way better Postal dude (postal) Highly memetic, Sunglass wearing, smart mouthed, gun toting ass kickers (literally both have one of their main attacks being their kicks) who can throw shit and hard piss (also literally) who are almost everything but politically correct using various drugs and a impressive arsenal of obscene and weird weapons to get their job done (ranging from expected stuff like pistols and machine guns to the weirder stuff like weapons that allow them to shrink their opponents) these jobs usually concern being forced to fight wacky, insane and surprisingly powerful enemies with them ranging from demons, mutants, cults, terrorists, super villains and even aliens, both also started out in their series as one style of gameplay but became more well-known for their second style of gameplay (postal started out as a top-down shooter and Duke nukem started out as a side scrolling shooter both ending up more well known as FPS games) both ended up becoming most well known for their first foray into the FPS genre with that game being given an incredibly long lifespan thanks to the fans and the creators adding on to it over the years however sadly when they eventually did come back with a main series game it was a infamously glitchy and unfinished mess that although still remembered to add the crassness of their classic outings did so without adding any of the charm or wit those outings had and these games both were considered horrible by both the fans and creators (of course I'm talking about postal 3 in Duke nukem forever) however both game franchises eventually got DLCs that somewhat restored the faith of the fans (Paradise Lost and doctor who cloned me), also they now share the same voice actor However after these points the two's game franchises went in very different directions with one continuing with a fourth game on the way and still being considered a beloved classic by most with it play it retaining its controversial edge the other has faded into pseudo obscurity with the main character only appearing as cameos in other games rather than starring in his own, also duke nukem in his own universe is the main man beloved by all and considered a global hero, men want to be him and women want to be with him and vice versa depending on your persuasions and can effortlessly be cool and desirable while the postal dude although dressing up in a traditionally "cool" way is considered by his world to be nothing more than a weird pathetic white trash asshole with everybody from the police force to the local gimp and even the beloved mascot all thinking he is a piece of crap The fight and banter potential is there considering both are well known for their quotable voice lines, surprising physical attributes, notably built up skills, power enhancing drugs and of course varied and powerful arsenals, both end up shrunk to the size of action figures and continue there fight in a house full of weapons and toys or something like that Track name: OF DUKES AND DUDES

@@helious5056 Throwing my two cents here, but considering how Serious Sam has poked fun of Duke Nukem since the Second Encounter (20 years ago!) I'd feel disappointed if I didn't see them throwing hands at some point. I have seen Doomguy being requested for both of them (which would be a complete stomp) but I am willing to see other points of view. And maybe I'm the weird one here, but when I think about Postal Dude I see Postal Pummeller (TF2 weapon), Oh Sir! The Insult Simulator (where he is weak against sins) and Hotline Miami... albeit the last one probably has better connection elsewhere.

@@seriousspikesam7770 I get where your coming from but for me it would feel weird not to have postal dude fight Duke nukem, it's an ingrained fight for me that I feel has been the best for both for years, it doesn't help that alot of postal dudes alts are mostly not that good, only solid one that I can think of is against sniper from TF2 and even then it has its problems most notably with it being a pretty big stomp for postal dude and the fight potential being a bit lacking But with a Duke you have pretty much everything, the dialogue potential is godly, the fight potential is magnificent, it has a lot of good connections and contrasts both character-wise and metatexualy, and they surprisingly scale fairly well with each other with all their weapons, gadgets, drugs and strange metahuman abilities making for my personal favorite for both

You could easily do an in-universe DB like the TMNT and Megaman ones, but with the AC Assassins (Plus Haytham, Shay and Desmond). I think this would be especially good if you gave them all peak equipment, like the pieces of Eden, Edward's Mayan armour and Connor's King Washington powers. Or you could do it with late-game base equipment (minus Pieces of Eden).

OOT Link vs DQ3 Erdrick is still my biggest hope. We have iconic swordsmen (or women but let's not get into that) of their game type, action adventure and RPG, who were chosen by fate to wield sacred weapons of their goddess, and have caused a long, legendary timeline to spawn from their heroics. Decent connections, but I think what could work is the fight. Erdrick has so much magic and gadgetry that could work extremely well against Link, and vice versa. Erdrick busts out the Night Light, only for Link to use the Sun's Song to steal any darkness advantage. Link uses the Zora tunic to breathe underwater and try to drown Erdrick, only for him to use the bottomless pot to drain it. Erdrick uses the Mod Rod to disguise himself, only for the Lens of Truth to see through him. Plus, there's potential for a lot of chaotic weapon swapping, between the Flametang Boomerang and Flail of Destruction to Link using the Biggoron Sword and Megaton hammer... I hope they do this, Erdrick deserves a badass fight and Link needs a good un as well. I mean, if we do Zoma scaling it's a stomp, but tbh Dragon Quest scaling is dumb anyway.,
