Thank you very much! Making those corner block allowance cuts makes perfect sense to me. You are the first one who has done that in a video. Thank you! Nicely done. I like the extra step of a solid template before making your mould. Very good.

Very good representation of Henry's work. You did miss an important feature on this step. Looking at the plan you can see the corner angle on the cutouts are not 90 degrees. It's about 93. This is very important when it comes time to remove the mold! Another important point, blocks are only glued onto the long edge for the same reason. Good work.

Your work is very good, as a luthier I congratulate you and I hope you continue to upload more videos of the manufacturing process. Excuse my English, I don't speak it.

What’s that first machine called, looks like something designed for inlay cutting ?

One other thing: question, what is the length of your mould template, your mould? Width and thickness, too please?

Hello. Why did you choose aluminum over steel, for your pattern? No critique, just curious. Thank you.
@SportsKid006-milbert2 жыл бұрын
Aluminum is easier to work and the stiffness of steel is not necessary in this application

Have you continued with this project? it would be awesome if you did. For those without the book would you be able to make copies of the pattern for the mould?
@SportsKid006-milbert4 жыл бұрын
I have continued with the project, keep an eye out for the new video! I’ll see what I can do about sharing some resources

Can you please tell what exactly Strobel book you mentioned? Thank you

I have also used H. Strobel's book and recommend it highly. Sadly, Henry passed away last year.
