I really like this rubber for making molds, plus the green one also, as I can vulcanize it with a toaster oven in my studio! I have some steel plates that have bolts through them so I can create my own pressure for the molds to cure. I mostly use baby powder or the Castillo separating cream as I really dislike cutting molds apart! They work great, effective, and quick with little investment for a vulcanizer!

Just the answer I was looking for that if it can be done in oven! YEI!! can pewter and silver be casted in this rubber die?

@@hiba I believe pewter can because it’s a low melting temp, but not silver or gold! This rubber can’t take those temps!

Can you try the low temp one for making molds from resin prints.

When it comes to molding resins we've tried several HDT resins with regular vulcanized mold materials like Castaldo Gold which worked great, and regular resins with RTV silicones which are hit and miss. We can look into a low temp vulcanizing if our supplier has it in stock next time. With this mold due to how flat the design was we decided to do a cut mold. Some molds we've made with a release cream or spray tend to experience more flashing.

@@ClearMindJewellery I also always wondered if each half of the mold could be vulcanized separately with the mold registration features built in from a resin pattern. The result in theory would be a mold with very controlled parting lines similar to a direct 3D printed mold but in a vulcanizing material. To protect the 3D printed mold half from the vulcanizer heat a high temperature tape such as Capton can be added or a silicone pad. The benefit of this is you get the quality and printability of non flexible resins with the convenience of not needing to cut parting lines and deal with liquid silicone.

Check out Siraya Sculpt Ultra White out, you can use it at very high temperatures of over 200C, so well past the range of any of these rubbers. I use their standard Sculpt grey a lot, but I'm restricted to which materials I can use, as it's only got around 150C HDT which isn't sufficient really for most of them

As other comment said, Siraya Sculpt is great. At the moment I only have access to the Grey (160° C max) and made a test with some low temp silicon rubber (80-90°C to vulcanize) from a turkish company (Teknosil, but I think Castaldo also has some low temp products) and so far so good.

Los moldes de hul vulcanizado pueden reproducir el grabado asta 500 veces,mas grandes simplemente ahogandolos en petroleo durante 24 horas,y sacando una copia aumentada con parafina. Fundida.espero les sirva.
