Just found your videos and I'm now a big Fan! Like how you keep it simple and love your sense of humor. I'm always talking to myself and making jokes of the silly things I end up doing while working on projects. I'm a newbie wood worker and have only made a few pieces and wanting to do more small projects and I like some furniture. Keep the videos coming, I will be watching!

Great sense of humor. I taught woodshop for 30 years and was familiar with all of your jargon. I mill my own lumber, but am envious of your equipment. I have made many boards, and am partial to chevron boards. really enjoyed your presentation. Our passion for wood should be emphasized to more of our youth. It's the satisfaction of our creativity that stimulates others. BTW, what do you charge for your boards? Woodman46

I run both boards through the jointer at the same time. Then it doesn’t matter if the jointer fence is true 90 degrees or not.

Nice board - one question for you - when I make these type of boards after I sand the board down I spray it with water to raise the grain and let it dry - then sand it with 220 grit. Then I apply oil - just a thought

How thick is the board. Would 2 inch be to thick to make a cutting board.

The board looks fantastic! Do you think just making one cut in the pith is enough to stabilize it? I probably would have tried to cut more of it out, so I’m curious of your experience.

I made a cut and then jointed it completely out. It’s in the video. 😉

@@DanielDunlap how much did you remove? I didnt realize you took much out - I also thought it was just a cut and plane a strasight edge on it.

Why would you cut the wood in half and then put them back together
@JohnPaul-sg4bs11 ай бұрын
I watched a man on a construction job die one day, using high pressure air to blow dust off his body. He had a small cut on his hand, an air bubble entered the cut and traveled to his heart and killed him on the spot. I do not know if that blower you was using would have enough pressure to be a problem or not, but why take a chance. May the Good Lord take a liking to you!!!

You need new saw horses. Also, do you add mayonnaise to the Walrus Oil or does it come with it already mixed in?
