What a great video Les. The entire process demonstrated...right from the idea through to the finished product. All done with great skill and attention to detail. Thanks for the insight into your lure creation process. When you "water test" the lures, do you have much fine tuning to do afterward?

Thanks heaps mate. It depends on the lure. If Ive made them before, generally not much tuning needed at all. But if its a new design.. it can take several prototypes and tuning

Good job! I rally like your shop🙂. Something is wrong with the bandsaw blade. You’re having to push too hard which might break the blade and injure your hand. Dull blade?? It should slice through the wood much easier. Thanks for sharing your lure making expertise!

Thanks mate. Yeah, its about completely blunt and that was meranti hardwood. Im still waiting for a new blade to arrive. Hopefully wont be too long

Thanks mate. i can fix ya up with one. just send me a message on Facebook or Instagram (same name) or email [e-mail] It depends on the lure to what timber, im still learning about different timbers and whats best. but just about anything will work if you seal it well and weight balance it. Bunnings is a good place to start or your local reclaimed timber yards. Tasmanian Oak, cedar or even radiator pine from Bunnings. I get all sorts of hardwoods from the reclaimed joint. the bib is lexan polycarbonate, just cut to shape and heated up to bend

yeah, good. I mainly only use the black and white. decent coverage and no need for any reducer
