For gold AK interactive makes wax based metallic paints that you can actually buff as well I use them all the time in scale modeling. You can brush and airbrush and thin with regular mineral spirits highly recommend you test em out next time they are amazing paints.

07:10 surely you could’ve spray painted those parts on the helmet in gold first, then masked the cracking using liquid latex, then sprayed them the dark grey? Which would’ve allowed you to use a spray can for both rather than hand painting and an airbrush?

I think that in TV show all gold elements were covered by gold leafs.

We utilized liquid gold leaf since the helmet was digitally softened in post-production

@@GalacticArmory I think I understand: color from footage would be different from actual prop. So every released Black Series helmet is one after color corection while most Limited and Custom ones are in actual shades of color (for example Scout Troopers actual armor from Episode VI has more Vanilla White color rather than usually shown Snow White like most props.) at least that would mean from that.
