In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a professional Trance Mid Bass from a single loop. Using a mix of dynamic EQ, compression, and distortion, I first isolate the sub bass. Then, I create three mid layers and mix everything together. tutorials@adamellisdj.com 💽 In the last 10 years I have helped clients sign to every major label in the Trance scene and two clients achieved Beatport #1 records on Kearnage and Pure Trance. ✨ What You'll Get: - 💰 Full money-back guarantee - 📅 1 month paid trial - 📝 Weekly feedback - 👨🏫 Full mentorship throughout - 📱 Access to my private Telegram Community - 📚 All Adam Ellis Samples/templates provided - 📺 Hundreds of hours of HD videos included

Thanks for another great video! Do you consider phase relationship between the sub bass and the kick at all, or is any overlap not considered important?

Love this one mate. Great way to make an audio loop not only sound cool but also your own in a way. If you didn’t have dynamic eq, do you think you could also achieve similar result with multiband comp like the Fab MB? Will be trying this out for sure ❤️🙌
@adamellistutorials4 ай бұрын
Thanks, Ben! Yes, a multiband compressor like FabFilter MB could definitely be used to achieve similar results.

Nice video Mate. This is like me tinkering, with an 8 bar loop, for hours with a big grin on my face. Oh and that free Wider plugin now has a version 2 that has a low pass filter to prevent phase issues.

Down to earth tutorials mate. Put a notch in at 30hz to allow the kick to come though. ‘Hmmmmm, make no difference’ 😂 love it mate….. no BS
@adamellistutorials4 ай бұрын
That’s it mate. Sometimes we’re told as producers you must do something. But you do it and it barely sounds different. I’ve got a compression tutorial coming that’s similar 😊
@tsango19724 ай бұрын
@@adamellistutorials Funny enough I was trying to master a track last night, and added some compression and was using a ref track to work to. I kept clicking the comp on and off and thought, I can't really hear any difference but apparently it's crucial in mastering!!! Ha ha!!!
@adamellistutorials4 ай бұрын
@@tsango1972yeah it is mate but you need to apply it in a gain stage process. I get my tunes mastered as I like a second pair of ears on it.

Hi mate, do you tune your kicks? Maybe do a video on it as I know this is a topic where some do it and others dont.
@adamellistutorials4 ай бұрын
I do not tune kicks :) Email me if you want me to send you a bank of my best 10 kicks for free!
@MSI9174 ай бұрын
@@adamellistutorials Thank you that's kind of you. Just a quickie.. .. If you shorten your kicks enough so they don't overlap with the bass does this mean you don't have to tune kicks ?
@adamellistutorials4 ай бұрын
@@MSI917you don’t ever need to tune kicks. Making your kick short will just ruin your kicks low end. 😊

This might sound like a dumb question, but wouldn't taking the DP sub bass down a couple of octaves using one of Logic's standard plugins, and using Logic's sub bass plugin on the file, give a similar result? Just curious...
@adamellistutorials4 ай бұрын
You could but the idea here was just seeing if we can make a full bass line from one loop.

Right.. So, what happens when your melody requires you to modulate to something other than C as your bass note?
@adamellistutorials4 ай бұрын
You just use R Bass or pitch the bass. Certainly not ideal though, hence my recommendation to absolutely always use midi for your sub.
