I had this log drying for almost 2 years, I used epoxy from Home Depot, I coated the top with a layer of epoxy, the sides have 5 coats of oil based finish.

Hi, nice work firstly, I did never work with epoxy jet but I'm trying to find some finish method for my spiral trunk stairs which I'm planning to assemble. I have a question about the epoxy, didn't it started cracking after time? You worked with a pretty dry wood I see but anyway.
@traytonwuollet1776
@traytonwuollet1776 3 жыл бұрын
The log that I used has been drying for a few years, it does move a little but not enough to crack or pop the epoxy, I think generally the wood should be around 7-11 percent moisture.
