@@gowdsake7103 why, to creating a new bible? simply cos today's society has evolved. we are in a different stage in society that rules and laws and societal norms have changed and matured so much over the ages. we should at least adapt the text to suit today's situations and not take the bible's literal text to be absolute and final. plus so much context about jesus is intentionally left out just cos it paints him in a bad light, search for 'young jesus kills kid', hows to believe the rest of it isnt biased and even true? since jesus is supposedly going to return, im sure there will be more books written about that period of time sprinkled in together with today's history. im sure at that point, there will be another governing body who determines what goes in anyway. point being, it doesnt align with today's world, and it wont align with the future of humanity anymore

do you offer "phone in" events or do you only do preplanned "debates"? The latter one is orders of magnitude harder to organize as the ones going onto such shows will exchange tipps which ones not to participate in as they do not favor their methodology... A major reason why the more ambitioous channels like Non Sequitur Show or Modern Day Debate have doven off the cliff into hosting awful subjects/participants and moderting the pro reality side 100 times harsher than the wannabe real side.

I think it would be fun to approach a creationist with a nonstandard alternate explanation for the origin of life and then insist that if their idea isn't true, this idea you have must be. Like maybe your idea is that life actually comes from another universe no-clipping into ours and leaving alien material in ours that automatically assembles into fully fledged species or something. Just keep insisting that the only two options are either that or creationism, and eventually they'll probably make the same point of "even if my position was wrong, it wouldn't make yours right." Then they'd have to live with the fact they said that for the rest of their life.

I agree with your position on phylogeny/cladistics, but I would not say it is “proven”. That isn’t appropriate scientific terminology. It is technically possible that the data could be explained by another model than universal common ancestry--I don’t think this is the case, and haven’t heard any good propositions. But “proof” really only applies in logic/mathematics.

Because everyone believes in evolution today, but unfortunately a lot of people confuse evolution with abiogenesis. It's abiogenesis, and sometimes common descent (which also isn't evolution but is a major part of modern evolutionary theory) that they don't believe, but they don't realize it, so they deny evolution instead while DESCRIBING evolution.

That’s an ingesting point about creation implying that special creations don’t share DNA. If you think of “a kind” as a specific language and a specific organism as a book written in that specific language, then as you said, two books from two different languages shouldn’t have identical words(genes). Yet we see that all organism share DNA, meaning there are some universal words(genes) that are intelligible in all languages. Why would specially created kinds(languages) all share universal genes(words). That suggests a generalized creation(single origin) not special creation(unique origin) of kinds. It would be strange is the word for “tree” was the same in every language. You can even trace the common roots of various languages by the similarities of various words, like the Germanic languages. The key difference with specially created languages vs specially created living kinds, is that languages can still exchange words through cultural exchange(intercourse between cultures). While eucaryotes need sexual intercourse to exchange genes(words). This point should be pushed more often, specially created kinds should share no DNA as they would each be a unique “language” with no similar words. God has no constraints apparently so there would be no requirement to save time or energy reusing previously created genes. A godly unique creation should be fully unique, aka perfectly unique. Not a cut and paste rush job.

It is "empirical", that related organisms share similar genes. Therefore, because all organisms share atleast a few similar genes, they are related. Like with everything else, this is not "the truth", it is just the most reasonable position to hold. You maybe can come up with a different explanations, but it wouldn't be empirical or scientificaly, because you have no evidence.

Genomic similarities between humans can be used to indicate relatedness between people because of the fact that genetic information is passed down from parents to offspring. However, genetic information is not passed between different species.
