Making an I-cord Trim for a Double Knit Armhole

I am working on a double knit vest beginning with fronts and back as a single piece, edged with an I-cord trim. I wanted to find a way to maintain this finished edge under the arm and up the sides of the armholes. By using both ends of a separate piece of cord, the integral I-cords can be added without disturbing the main fabric and by seaming it to the underarm stitches on both sides it creates a neat matching finished edge.

OK, two things….this is amazing sorcery! I say it often, I love watching how your mind solves issues. Secondly, I went looking for the leak in my house! LOL. We have a roof of snow, and it’s melting…so seemed completely reasonable that it might be dripping. But, where? Enjoyed this. Thank you.

Hi Lynda, I'm sorry to let you know -but I'm not planning on writing this one up. I'd be happy to explain the process etc, but there are so many variables that it would be a nightmare to write for a microscopic market!
