Making Anjou Pear in colours I would never have chosen! Using a colour wheel to pick soap colours

For this month's Patreon Design Challenge, I asked my Patrons to name 3 very specific things. They had no idea what I had planned so it really didn't make much sense. I wanted to showcase how to use a colour wheel to pick colours when you your struggle to do so. All the suggestions were added into a soapy jug and the one draw out came from Lee who runs Bath Body Bliss (bathbodybliss.com.au/). I have kept this soap simple to showcase the colours and I must admit, this is not a colour combination I would have chosen but I love it.

I have several color wheels. Having done Oil & Acrylic painting for years, also. To mix flower colors in my garden every year and then when it comes to soaps, I use different types of color wheels. So you came up with a good idea for this weeks share. The soap looks wonderful! I do love a good Pear fragrance, also. Cheers 👍🤗

I love the teaching videos…. To be honest I don’t see how to use red/green together and it not be Christmas. Love seeing an orange

It is a really hard combination though I usually find they best suit florals. I did do it as a Patreon challenge once as a rose soap. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a161pqOFn5x5bMk It's a little pinker than red but you could make it a deeper red and it still wouldn't look odd. It's about the balance or ratio of colour 🧡
