@ YES, layering the lettuce with a perilla leaf (called KketNip)is a pro-touch🙌 FYI - ‘Daikon’ is Japanese radish (which tastes totally different from Korean radish/Mu).

간사합니다! We love making Korean BBQ like this and can't wait to try the rice paper tip! My wife loves when I make 파무침 and will eat almost the entire bowl! One question - how do you keep the pork belly from burning? When I have tried this in the past it tends to burn pretty quickly. Do you just flip it frequently?
@ModernPepper
@ModernPepper Ай бұрын
Thank you🙏. Are you using marinated pork belly or non-marinated pork belly? For non-marinated pork belly, follow the instructions in this video. For marinated pork belly, please watch this video for grilling. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaWQg4JjrdeBhbM Any marinated meats can easily burn/blacken because of the marinade. You just need to keep an close eye on it and control the heat levels while grilling, without flipping over the meats too much. Anytime you grill meats, it is always bad to constantly move and flip the meat.

If it's just two of you, can you just put the cooking pan on top of the highest heat burner of your gas stove (along with grease catching bowl, of course)?
@ModernPepper

@@djlovesmusic Hi 👋 This portable grill is perfect for 2 people serving, too. As for using the oil drip grilling pan on your gas stove, I wouldn’t recommend it because of the mess it will create and potential fire hazard

@@Its-Kat_ Hi 👋 YES, it would be sacrilegious to take bites of sushi/sashimi. As noted, just like sushi/sashimi, Korean lettuce wrap must be eaten in one bite🙌

“Korean barbecue” = grilling. It is NOT barbecue!
@ModernPepper
@ModernPepper 27 күн бұрын
@@paulhue86 YES, it is grilled meats. In Korean, we don’t call it BBQ. We call it “roasting” over fire. In the minds of many Americans/North America, barbecue involves cooking over low heat with smoke, associated with southern style slowly smoked meats. In other regions, it is defined as cooking over fire or portable grilling. Here is the definition of barbecue: www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/barbecue en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbecue
