@14:20 "we live in accordance with the flow of the times" I love those words he said, and I try to live that way as well. Learn and value the tried-and-true methods but keep up with the times and new technologies. Always continuing to learn, adapt, and constantly evolve.

What a great story about a great craftsman. Very cool dude.
Как же мудро, что нужно идти в ногу со временем. Пока есть спрос... Алекватно смотрит на вещи,без пафоса не возвушая свой труд. Качество и скромность, вот что меня привлекло в этом топоре , человеке, видео

small feedback, enjoyed video very much. your tools on your website are outstanding quality. would love to get one of the longer bearded axes for woodworking. i find the navigation a little challenging in english though. i think if you were set up for international ordering you might find you will do more business. the quality of your work is again, outstanding. i have found the japanese approach is more domestic in outlook for business but i think you will find many people outside of japan have developed a great appreciation and desire for your work so i do think considering international sales could be a great thing for you...

it's fascinating to see a man who's been working metal most of his life, work in a tiny shop, nothing fancy, simple attire. and then you see hipster "blacksmithing" youtubers and their anvil brand whoring/nostalgia slutting and big dumb power hammers, and everything is blanks/grinding. it's interesting to see a small industrial setup. doing something traditional.

8:56 Which is exactly the same as the rest of the world did it before modern steels. I believe, that Granfors Bruk in Sweden still make some of their axes this way although the machinery plays a larger part than here. It's not superior to the modern way (and steels) it's the way it had to be done and it's too tempting to make a virtue from a necessity.
