Making bastile soap (70% olive oil) using breastmilk - this video will show you how to incorporate milk into soap. You can always substitute the water content with other types of liquids such as juice and coffee. The sugars and unique properties of the liquids will give your soaps a different feel and produces different kind of lather. Hope you enjoy the video!
Please always follow safety requirements while making soap! Sodium/Potassium hydroxide is caustic and can cause burns on skin or on mucous membranes!
Here is the recipe for this video:
70% Olive oil
25% Coconut oil
5% Shea butter
1:2 lye to water ratio (water content substituted with breastmilk)
Essential oil blend: Lavender, Rose geranium (hydrated in yellow clay to help retaining the scent)
